St. Tóla's Church, or Dysert Abbey, dates from the 12th Century and was built on the site of an eighth century monastery, founded by the hermit St. Tóla, and is located in County Clare.


The cross of St. Tóla's Church shows in relief the crucifixion in high relief with the figure of a bishop below who is believed to be Saint Tóla who was the Bishop of Clonard, which is located in County Clare.

The beautiful Romanesque doorway has four orders, the outer order being decorated with a row of animal and human heads.
