We left Aberystwth early in the day and as it was a short trip to Portmeirion, we visited several historic sites along the way.

Land of Castles
the Country
of Wales

Devil's Bridge is in Ceredigion, which is the region of Wales adjacent to Cardigan Bay in the mid-western section of this most beautiful country.

Devil's Bridge is a Welsh village and its main attraction is the bridge of the same name that spans the river Mynach, a tributary of the Rheideol and is actually three bridges, the first being built prior to 1200 and said to be so difficult to build it must have been built by the devil. The second bridge is a stone bridge constructed in 1753 and the third is an iron bridge built in 1901.
