Harlech Castle had some stairways open from the ground floor of the castle to the castle rooms along the second level of Harlech Castle and it was interesting to walk along these passages and into the rooms that lined the inner curtain wall.

The upper wall walks were accessible from the stairways along the inner ward and the views both inside and out were marvelous with the Snowdonia Area to the east and the Llŷn Penisula and Cardigan Bay to the west.
