We enjoyed strolling around Porvoo, received a map at the visitor's center, which has some facts about this little town.

Porvoo Cathedral was built on Church Hill in the late 13th Century, the present church built in the 1450s and over the centuries has been pillaged and burned several times. The residential section of Porvoo has narrow winding roads about Church Hill and is located above the mercantile section of Porvoo.

After walking around the small town including window-shopping at Finland's very first department storm in the mercantile section, we developed a bit of an appetite,stopped at Cafe Helmi, and had a wonderful lunch.
