The Emerald Isle

I visited Ireland in the summer of 2010 and enjoyed my favorite music, which is Irish, in several pubs around Ireland and also greatly enjoyed the scenery of the Emerald Isle.

Lisdoonvarna, is from the Gaelic Los Dùin Bhearna, meaning "Enclosure at the Fort by the Gap", is a town of eight-hundred and twenty-two in County Clare, and is famous for its music and matchmaking festivals. The non-defunct music festival is celebrated in a song by the same name by Christy Moore ("If its music you want, you should go to Clare" and I did and I was rewarded by hearing a wonderful trio of singers and musicians playing at the Rathbaun Hotel).
