IrelandThe Emerald Isle |
I visited Ireland in the summer of 2010 and enjoyed my favorite music, which is Irish, in several pubs around Ireland and also greatly enjoyed the scenery of the Emerald Isle. |
Lisdoonvarna, is from the Gaelic Los Dùin Bhearna, meaning "Enclosure at the Fort by the Gap", is a town of eight-hundred and twenty-two in County Clare, and is famous for its music and matchmaking festivals. The non-defunct music festival is celebrated in a song by the same name by Christy Moore ("If its music you want, you should go to Clare" and I did and I was rewarded by hearing a wonderful trio of singers and musicians playing at the Rathbaun Hotel). |
