The Royal Artillery Memorial, dedicated to those who served in World War I, is located at Hyde Park, in close proximity to Buckingham Palace.

In 1828 John Nash designed the Marble Arch based on the triumphal arch of Constantine in Rome and originally erected on the Mall as a gateway to Buckingham Palace and historically only members of the Royal Family, the King's troops and Royal Horse Artillery were allowed to pass under the arch.
