It took no small effort to make our way to Acton Burnell, which are the remains of a thirteenth century manor house located in a small village of the same name in Shropshire County as we had to travel some extremely narrow roadways to find this fortified manor home. |
Robert Burnell was the Bishop of Bath, Lord Chancellor and a close friend of King Edward I and the first English Parliament in which the Commons were represented met here in the year of 1283. |
