Photographs from Our Visit to Portmeirion

Gate House is the next cottage along the entry path from the day visitor's car park to the Village Green and this path goes through a tunnel under this self-catered cottage.

The Gate House (Y Gatws)

Gate House Cottage was built in the mid-fifties and built on a large rock, which is visible to the right of the entry view photograph (top photograph) which illustrates Sir Clough's reluctance to destroy the land to create a community. As he did with Bridge House up the path a bit, both sides of this building have different looks to them and when in Portmeirion you need to keep your eyes open for anything.
