We meandered along the southern coast for a while after we left our hotel room and then turned northward to Palermo via the town of Corleone. |

The restaurants and stores for the most part were closed during the mid-day, so we provisioned ourselves with fresh bread, tomatoes, marinated mushrooms, eggplant and sun dried tomato and often stopped for a picnic lunch. |

We found a park bench overlooking the Piazza Fontana in a small town in central Sicily and enjoyed our picnic lunch.
