The town of Adrano dates back to 400 BC and was founded by the Greeks and Bronte was named for one of the Cyclops, legend being that the Cyclops lived under Mount Etna where they crafted weapons for Zeus. |

St. Maria of the Rosary Church in the small mountain town of Bronte is on the below left and below right the Norman castle of Adrano, built c. 1080 AD on the remains of an earlier fortress built by Arabs and is typical of the Norman-Sicilian style. |
